Carlsbad, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in the Carlsbad area of San Diego on Friday morning.
According to the Carlsbad Police Department, the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. at Tamarack Avenue and Skyline Road.
A pedestrian was struck by a car in unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The driver, 57-year-old Paul Hiniker, of Carlsbad, was arrested for leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death and vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
