Orange County, CA. – One person died, and three others, including a child, were injured in a fiery multi-vehicle crash that happened Thursday afternoon in Silverado, a census-designated in Orange County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the pileup was reported around 1:15 p.m. on Santiago Canyon Road near Silverado Canyon Road.

The Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene and found a large truck and two cars involved in the crash.

The vehicles were blocking the roadway, and at least two cars were on fire.

The firefighters extinguished the flames shortly after arrival.

One person, described as an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three others, a child and two adults, were transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

The report did not mention the vehicles that the victims occupied.

The wreck forced investigators to close Santiago Canyon Road for hours.
