Man Killed, Two Injured in Auburn Crash on SR 18 near Green River Bridge

Auburn, WA.- One person was killed in a car accident near the Green River Bridge in Auburn on Wednesday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The wreck happened on State Route 18 at around 8:12 p.m. September 3.

According to WSP, a vehicle traveling in the westbound lanes lost control, spun, and stopped facing east.

Shortly after, the vehicle was struck by another westbound vehicle.

The man driving the first vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The two occupants of the second vehicle were wearing their seatbelts and were both taken to Auburn Medical Center for treatment.

Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the incident, according to WSP.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
