Citrus Heights, CA – One person was killed after two vehicles collided at an intersection in Citrus Heights Sunday Night, Citrus Heights Police said.
The deadly collision happened at about 8:17 p.m. on August 24 at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Fleetwood Drive.
Authorities said a sedan and a pickup truck were involved in the collision. Responding crews found the pickup overturned, and both vehicles had major damage.
The driver of the sedan suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup truck driver was not hurt in the incident and remained at the scene.
Citrus Heights Police blocked the westbound lanes of Madison at San Juan as crews worked at the scene.
The roadway has since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
