Hemet, CA – The police are investigating a four-vehicle collision that sent a woman to the hospital Friday evening and prompted the closure of southbound State Street in Hemet.
As per the CHP, the crash occurred at approximately 5:24 p.m. on October 23, 2026, at the intersection of State Street and Menlo Avenue.
The woman, who was driving a white vehicle, was transported by American Medical Response (AMR) to a local hospital for further evaluation.
It remains unclear whether anyone else was injured in the collision.
Southbound State Street was shut down between Fruitvale Avenue and Menlo Avenue as emergency crews investigated the crash and worked to clear the scene.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the roadway reopened.
