Preliminary reports indicate that a truck hauling heavy equipment and another vehicle, possibly a Nissan hatchback, were involved in the crash. The incident occurred in the southbound lanes of the highway.
Pepperwood, CA – Injuries were reported in an accident that occurred near Pepperwood in Humboldt County on Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred just before 7:18 a.m. October 11, on Highway 101 just south of Exit 671.
Preliminary reports indicate that a truck hauling heavy equipment and another vehicle, possibly a Nissan hatchback, were involved in the crash. The incident occurred in the southbound lanes of the highway.
There were reports of injuries in the accident and an ambulance was dispatched to the scene. The number of patients and the extent of injuries were not immediately released.
The southbound side of Highway 101 was shut down as authorities investigated the accident.
The CHP is still investigating the incident.
