Concord, CA. – A woman was injured in a wrong-way crash on Saturday evening in Concord.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Highway 4 near Willow Pass at around 6 p.m.

A westbound Honda Civic being pursued by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office crashed into another vehicle, entered the eastbound lane of the highway, and clipped other vehicles before colliding head-on with a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The Honda Civic rolled over. A woman and her passenger fled the area but were later located.

The woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

More details on the collision were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
