Thurston County, WA – A man was struck and injured by a vehicle on Thursday evening in Thurston County, according to a report by the Washington State Patrol.

The crash was reported at around 7:13 p.m. October 8, on State Route 507 between McKenna and Yelm.

Authorities reported that a pedestrian was walking north on southbound SR 507 when he was hit by a southbound white 2019 Ford Transit driven by 79-year-old Joy M. Arnold of Yelm.

The pedestrian was transported to Providence St. Peter’s Hospital with unspecified injuries. The WSP identified the victim as 39-year-old Jonathan M. Chapman of Yelm.

Arnold was not injured in the accident and was cooperative with the investigators.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
