Gilbert, AZ – A pedestrian was struck and critically injured by a vehicle on North Colorado Street in Gilbert on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, the incident happened between San Angelo Street and Guadalupe Road shortly before 10:30 a.m. October 7.
Preliminary reports indicate that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle believed to be a white Volkswagen SUV. Authorities were still trying to figure out what led up to the incident.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The victim’s name, age, or gender were not immediately released.
The driver stayed at the scene and was later taken to a hospital for evaluation
There were no reports of any citations or arrests in connection with the incident.
Authorities shut down North Colorado Street as they investigated the wreck. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
