According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved a Lucid Gravity and a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

St. Helena, CA – Nine people were hospitalized, and a DUI suspect was arrested Saturday evening after a head-on collision north of St. Helena, authorities reported.
The wreck transpired around 6:10 p.m. on October 3, 2026, on Highway 29.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved a Lucid Gravity and a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The Lucid was heading southbound when, for an unknown reason, it crossed over the center line and collided head-on with the Jeep, which was northbound.
CHP officers, Cal Fire, and Napa County firefighters responded to the scene.
The Jeep driver and her five passengers, and the Lucid driver and his two passengers, were taken to local hospitals with moderate to major injuries.
Investigators determined that the Lucid driver was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. After being medically cleared, he was arrested and booked into the Napa County Jail on felony DUI charges.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
