Bakersfield, CA – Woman Killed in Crash on Highway 58 near Malaga Road

According to the investigators, a vehicle heading east on Highway 58 reportedly swerved into the opposite lanes and crashed head-on with another vehicle.

Bakersfield, CA – The woman who was killed in a collision that occurred on Highway 58 in Bakersfield Monday morning has been identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

The incident took place shortly before 10:25 a.m. September 28, near Malaga Road.

According to the investigators, a vehicle heading east on Highway 58 reportedly swerved into the opposite lanes and crashed head-on with another vehicle.

The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to burst into flames.

An occupant of one of the vehicles was killed in the incident. The victim was identified by the coroner’s office as Veronica Espinoza Roa, 53, of Oakdale.

No further details were immediately released.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
