San Diego, CA – A 22-year-old motorcyclist died after being involved in a collision with a vehicle in San Diego Wednesday afternoon, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The victim was identified as Christopher Raffi Garabedian, a 22-year-old resident of Sherman Oaks, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash occurred on September 16, 2026, at about 12:06 p.m. at Varona Street and Catalina Boulevard.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist injured. He was transported to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead at about 3:42 p.m.
The Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the man died from multiple blunt force traumatic injuries.
The San Diego Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal motorcycle collision. Authorities did not release additional details about the vehicle involved or what led to the crash.
