Apple Valley, CA – A 69-year-old Apple Valley man suffered major injuries Monday afternoon following a motorcycle versus vehicle collision at an intersection in Apple Valley.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:56 p.m. on September 14 at Marigold Street and Apple Valley Road.
Deputies from the Apple Valley Station and Apple Valley Fire Protection District personnel responded to the scene.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2006 Ford F-150 with a Carson trailer attached was heading southbound on Apple Valley Road toward Marigold Street. At the same time, a 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, operated by the 69-year-old Apple Valley man, was traveling northbound on Apple Valley Road.
The Ford driver, identified as a 22-year-old Adelanto man, reportedly turned left in front of the motorcycle, and the two vehicles collided.
The Apple Valley rider was hospitalized with major injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
