Red Bluff, CA – A 72-year-old woman died after she was hit by a semi-truck Monday afternoon in Red Bluff, authorities reported.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on September 14, 2026, on 445 Antelope Boulevard.
According to the Red Bluff Police Department, for an unknown reason, the 72-year-old Red Bluff woman attempted to cross Antelope Boulevard in front of a semi-truck. The semi-truck driver noticed the pedestrian and applied the brakes in an attempt to avoid a collision. The vehicle did not stop in time and struck the woman.
Authorities said a St. Elizabeth Hospital ambulance was in the area at that time and quickly transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
The woman did not respond to the medical aid offered by the first responders and hospital staff and ultimately died at the facility.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
