According to police, a 28-year-old man was driving a Honda Civic westbound on El Cajon Boulevard when he crashed into a man pushing a shopping cart in the right lane

San Diego, CA – Authorities have identified the man who was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking in the street on El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego on Aug. 20.
The County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Mohammad Eshan Jabar, 62.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:43 p.m. in the 6000 block of El Cajon Boulevard near College Avenue. According to police, a 28-year-old man was driving a Honda Civic westbound on El Cajon Boulevard when he struck Jabar, who was pushing a shopping cart in the right lane.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, and paramedics pronounced Jabar dead at approximately 8:58 p.m.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Jabar died from multiple blunt force injuries. No contributing conditions were listed, and his manner of death was classified as an accident.
The San Diego Police Department is investigating the crash.
