El Cajon, CA – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Greenfield Drive in El Cajon on Aug. 22.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Uriel Ramiro Reyes Ruiz, 27.

The crash occurred around 7:40 a.m. on August 22 in the 900 block of Greenfield Drive. Emergency personnel responded to a motorcycle-versus-pickup-truck collision.

The motorcyclist, Ruiz, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Medical Examiner determined that his death resulted from multiple blunt force injuries, particularly to the head and chest. The manner of death was classified as an accident.

El Cajon, CA – At least one person died in a motorcycle collision that happened Saturday morning in El Cajon, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident transpired around 7:43 a.m. on eastbound Greenfield Drive, just west of North 1st Street.

According to CHP logs, the incident involved a motorcycle and a Ford F-250 pickup truck pulling a single-axle trailer.

The report said at least one person died in the accident.


Investigators blocked Greenfield Drive in both directions as they worked the scene.
