Investigators reported that a 21-year-old Thurston County motorcyclist was riding eastbound on Harrison Avenue when he crashed into the back of a truck that was slowing down to turn right onto Greenwood Drive.

Olympia, WA – A motorcycle rider was killed in a traffic collision that happened in west Olympia on Tuesday evening, according to the Olympia Police Department.
At around 6 p.m. September 8, authorities responded to reports of a crash on Harrison Avenue Northwest and Greenwood Drive Southwest.
Investigators reported that a 21-year-old Thurston County motorcyclist was riding eastbound on Harrison Avenue when he crashed into the back of a truck that was slowing down to turn right onto Greenwood Drive.
The impact caused the motorcycle to spin into the westbound lanes of Harrison Avenue and the rider collided with a second truck.
The motorcyclist, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene.
The first truck driver sustained a back injury and was treated at the scene.
No other injuries were not reported in the incident.
Roads in the area were temporarily shut down as a result of the accident.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Olympia Police Department.
