Stockton, CA – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car early Tuesday morning at an intersection in the Seaport District of Stockton City.

According to the Stockton Police Department, the incident was reported around 2:58 a.m. on September 1, 2026, at Carolyn Weston Boulevard and Manthey Road.

Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene and found a man lying in the roadway, unconscious.

The man had been hit by a vehicle, sustaining severe injuries. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with investigators.

SPD is handling the investigation.
