Santa Monica, CA – 3 People Injured in Fiery Collision on 10 Freeway near 20th Street

Santa Monica, CA – Three people were injured in a fiery crash that happened Tuesday afternoon on a freeway in Santa Monica, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash occurred around 5:06 p.m. on September 1, 2026, on the eastbound 10 Freeway, just east of 20th Street.

The Santa Monica Fire Department responded to the scene after receiving reports of the collision and found a Dodge Ram pickup truck and Mercedes involved in the accident. Both vehicles caught fire and became fully engulfed.

The accident left one person with serious injuries, and two others with minor injuries.

Multiple traffic lanes were closed down during the rescue operation and investigation.
