Glendale, AZ– Several children were injured in a major collision that took place at an intersection in Glendale on Thursday afternoon, according to the Glendale Police Department.
The collision transpired in the area of 67th Avenue near Deer Valley Road at about 3:45 p.m. on August 27.
Preliminary reports indicate that a sedan carrying several children was involved in a crash with a pickup truck. The impact caused the pickup truck to roll over.
A third vehicle was also involved in the accident. The exact circumstances that led to the collision were not immediately established.
A child who sustained a head injury was reportedly unconscious at the scene. The other children were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
It’s unclear whether any adults were also hurt in the incident.
The northbound side of Arrowhead Loop Road was temporarily shut down as a result of the accident.
