San Clemente, CA – Major Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Collision on 5 Freeway

San Clemente, CA – Major injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday night on the 5 Freeway in San Clemente, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The pileup occurred around 11:49 p.m. on the northbound lanes just south of Avenida Presidio.

Four vehicles were involved in the collision. A car reportedly veered to the left in front of another vehicle prior to the collision.

At least one person sustained severe injuries in the accident.

Authorities also reported that two other vehicles collided in the same area around the same time, resulting in minor injuries.

At least three vehicles were towed away from the crash scene.

CHP is investigating the collisions.
