According to the Palo Alto Police Department, a man in his 20s was riding a motorcycle southbound when he collided with a sedan making a left turn.

Palo Alto, CA – A motorcyclist died in a motorcycle collision that happened Wednesday afternoon in Palo Alto, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on August 21, 2026, in the 100 block of El Camino Real.
According to the Palo Alto Police Department, a man in his 20s was riding a motorcycle southbound when he collided with a sedan making a left turn.
The rider was ejected from the bike, sustaining severe injuries. Paramedics transported the patient to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His name will be released when authorities notify his family.
The driver of the sedan, a woman in her 20s, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Investigators closed the roadway for about three hours while they worked the scene.
