9-Year-Old Boy Injured in Santa Rosa Crash on Yulupa Avenue

Santa Rosa, CA – A minor was hit and injured by a vehicle on a street in Santa Rosa on Tuesday night, according to the Santa Rosa police.

The incident took place in the 900 block of Yulupa Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. August 18.

Investigators reported that a 9-year-old boy was attempting to walk across Yulupa Avenue when he was hit by a vehicle in the crosswalk.

Medics responded to the scene and the boy was transported to a trauma center by ambulance. The boy reportedly had significant injuries.

The driver of the involved vehicle, a 41-year-old Santa Rosa man, remained at the scene after the collision.

According to investigators, alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played any role in the accident.

The exact circumstances of the collision remained under investigation.
