At around 10:35 a.m. August 18, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of an accident in the 7900 block of Poplin Drive.

Santee, CA – Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle collision that sent a pedestrian to a hospital with major injuries on Tuesday morning in Santee.
At around 10:35 a.m. August 18, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of an accident in the 7900 block of Poplin Drive.
Preliminary reports indicate that a pedestrian was pinned in between two vehicles on the area. It’s still unclear how the incident transpired.
Deputies responded to the scene and rendered aid to the pedestrian until medics arrived and took over.
The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities located and evaluated one of the drivers at the scene. It’s unclear whether the second motorist also remained after the accident.
Impairment was not believed to have factored in the crash.
