Phelan, CA – At least two people were seriously hurt in a head-on crash that happened Thursday morning near an intersection in Phelan, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on August 13, 2026, on Baldy Mesa Road near Phelan Road.

According to CHP logs, a black four-door sedan and a white pickup truck were involved in a head-on collision. The pickup truck overturned onto its side in the roadway, and the sedan stopped along the dirt shoulder.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found at least two people with severe injuries. The patients were airlifted to hospitals for treatment.

The roadway remained blocked during the investigation.

CHP Victorville Station is investigating the collision.

Phelan, CA – At least one person was severely injured in a two-vehicle collision that happened Thursday morning in Phelan, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident was reported around 5:07 a.m. on Baldy Mesa Road, just north of Phelan Road.

According to CHP logs, the incident two vehicles were involved in the accident.

At least one sustained serious injuries in the crash. The victim was hospitalized in unknown condition.

Baldy Mesa Road was closed at White Fox Trail during the investigation.
