San Jose, CA – A pedestrian who was struck and severely injured by a vehicle last week at an intersection in San Jose died from his injuries, the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office reported.

According to the San Jose Police Department, on Tuesday afternoon last week, a man was crossing Lucretia Avenue in a marked crosswalk when, for an unknown reason, he was hit by a 2019 Nissan Sentra making a right turn onto Lucretia from Tully Road.
The man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was stabilized. On Sunday, August 9, the Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office reported that the man died from his injuries. His identity was not immediately released.
SJPD is investigating the incident.
