Avondale, AZ – 1 Killed, At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 10

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the pileup took place just after 5:30 a.m. on August 6, 2026, on the westbound I-10 near Fairway Drive.

Avondale, AZ – One person died, and at least one other was seriously injured after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday morning on Interstate 10 in Avondale.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the pileup took place just after 5:30 a.m. on August 6, 2026, on the westbound I-10 near Fairway Drive.

Several vehicles were involved in the accident.

Avondale firefighters responded to the scene and found at least two people with serious injuries. Both patients were rushed to the hospital, but one of them died from their injuries.

All lanes on westbound I-10 remained closed during the investigation.
