Pacific Beach, CA – A 33-year-old woman was hospitalized after being involved in a motorcycle accident that happened Saturday afternoon in Pacific Beach.

The woman was riding a Honda CB500 motorcycle southbound when she reportedly ran a steady red-turn arrow and broadsided a black Honda Civic driven in the HOV lane on the same street by a 38-year-old man.
The motorcyclist sustained a fractured hip and abrasions to her leg. The injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
The SDPD’s Traffic Division is investigating the crash, but said impairment was not considered a contributing factor.
