Rancho Cucamonga, CA – One person was killed and several others injured in a collision involving multiple vehicles on the 210 Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga on Monday morning.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the wreck happened at around 10:15 a.m. July 27, on the westbound freeway just east of Dry Creek Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that a big rig and two SUVs were among the vehicles involved in the accident. The two SUVs reportedly overturned as a result of the crash.
The CHP and emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after and rendered aid to the involved people.
At least one person died at the scene of the collision and the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene.
An unspecified number of people were injured in the incident. The extent of injuries sustained in the collision was not released.
The westbound lanes of the freeway remained shut down as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation and additional details are expected to be released.
