San Diego, CA – A 99-year-old woman died after she was hit by a vehicle Tuesday morning near the College East neighborhood of San Diego, authorities reported.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the 99-year-old woman was walking eastbound on Cleo Street when she was hit by a 49-year-old woman driving a silver 2022 Chevrolet Equinox heading westbound.
The pedestrian sustained multiple fractures to both arms and lower leg. Paramedics took the victim to the hospital, where she later died.
San Diego police officers are investigating the accident.
