According to a report by the Portland Police Bureau, the incident happened in the 9700 block of SE Division Street at around 4:45 p.m. on July 21.

Portland, OR – Injuries were reported in an incident where a vehicle crashed into a business in the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood of SE Portland on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a report by the Portland Police Bureau, the incident happened in the 9700 block of SE Division Street at around 4:45 p.m. on July 21.

Investigations revealed that a driver slammed into the Sherwin-Williams Paint Store in the area. It’s unclear why the driver crashed into the front door of the store.

There were people inside the store at the time of the accident and some of them were injured.

First responders arrived shortly after and assisted the injured parties. There was no update on the number of those hurt and the extent of their injuries.

The driver who crashed into the store fled the area on foot but was later located and arrested. Authorities did not confirm what charges the driver may be facing.

The Portland police are conducting and investigation to ascertain the cause of the collision.
