Mead Valley, CA – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major multi-vehicle collision that left several people injured in the Mead Valley area on Wednesday afternoon.
The wreck was reported at about 3:30 p.m. on July 15, at the intersection of Cajalco Road and Seaton Avenue, west of the 215 Freeway.
Preliminary reports indicate that three vehicles collided on the westbound side of Cajalco Road. Details on what may have caused the collision were not immediately provided.
The vehicles came to a rest blocking both the westbound and the eastbound sides of Cajalco Road
First responders arrived at the scene shortly after and attended to at least three people involved in the crash.
After evaluation, three people were transferred to a hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.
As crews worked at the scene, both sides of Cajalco Road were shut down for the investigation. An investigation by the CHP is still ongoing.
