Vacaville, CA – A motorcyclist died in a traffic collision that happened early Sunday morning on Interstate 80 in Vacaville, authorities reported.

A 28-year-old Vacaville resident was reportedly riding a motorcycle at a high rate of speed when they were involved in a collision.
First responders found the rider down in the center median. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five other vehicles were also located on the right shoulder. Authorities believe they were involved in separate crashes involving the motorcycle.
Two other drivers sustained minor injuries and complained of pain.
CHP is investigating to establish the manner and cause of the accident.
