Beaumont, CA – One person was hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Friday afternoon on Interstate 10 in Beaumont, authorities reported.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported around 3:10 p.m. on July 10, 2026, on the westbound I-10 near Beaumont Avenue.
CHP officers and Riverside County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports of the crash.
The responders found a Nissan sedan and a Tesla involved in a collision. A pickup truck was reportedly hit by flying debris from the crash. All the vehicles ended up in the center divider.
The Tesla driver was temporarily unable to get out of the car but made it by crawling out of a window.
One of the drivers sustained minor to moderate injuries. The patient was taken to a regional trauma center for treatment. No one else was injured.
Traffic was backed up near the area due to the presence of the emergency personnel, but no lanes were closed.
