The Delano man was transported to the hospital, where he later died
Delano, CA. – A former Sacramento State football player died in a car crash in Delano on Wednesday morning.
The fatal accident happened on Glenwood Street, according to the Delano Police Department.
25-year-old Ivan Garza was crossing Glenwood Street when he was hit by a northbound vehicle.
The Delano man was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
Ivan was a former Sacramento State offensive lineman and a Robert F. Kennedy High School graduate.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details on the crash were not available.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
