La Puente, CA. – David Cano, 46, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died after colliding with a minivan Thursday morning at an intersection in La Puente, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.

The accident happened around 5:45 a.m. on July 2, at East Amar Road and North Evanwood Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene and found a motorcycle overturned onto its side near the front left tire of a black minivan at the intersection.

David was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the minivan was an undercover police officer with the Alhambra Police Department. The officer was serving a search warrant at the time of the crash. It was unclear if they were injured.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
