Hayward, CA – A motorcyclist was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon on northbound Interstate 880 in Hayward, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at approximately 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, on northbound I-880, just south of the West Tennyson Road off-ramp.
CHP dispatch logs indicate the collision involved a white Kawasaki motorcycle and a white Honda. The motorcycle initially blocked the express lane while the Honda blocked the No. 1 lane.
As per the CHP, the rider suffered moderate to major injuries in the crash.
Authorities requested a tow truck for the motorcycle, which sustained major front-end damage. CHP later updated the incident to reflect a two-vehicle injury crash.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
