Phoenix, AZ –Â The authorities have released the name of a woman who was killed in a crash involving a bicycle and a car in Phoenix on Thursday.
The Phoenix Police Department identified the woman as 60-year-old Jennifer Lam.
Authorities said Lam was riding on the sidewalk along Bethany Home Road when she was struck by a vehicle that was leaving a business. Lam sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision that happened near Bethany Home Road and 35th Avenue at around 4 p.m. on July 2.

Police reported that the woman was riding a bicycle heading west on a sidewalk along Bethany Home Road when she was hit by a truck that was driving out of a business.
Phoenix police responded to the site of the accident, and the bicyclist was declared deceased shortly after.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and was not suspected of having been impaired.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the Phoenix Police Department.
