Investigators reported that a car traveling southbound on Southeast 164th Avenue collided with a motorcyclist who was trying to make a turn onto the westbound SR 14 on-ramp.

Vancouver, WA – A motorcyclist sustained major injuries in a collision with a vehicle on Thursday evening in Vancouver.
According to the Vancouver Police Department, the accident happened shortly after 5 p.m. on June 25, near Southeast 164th Avenue and the westbound SR-14 on-ramp.
Investigators reported that a car traveling southbound on Southeast 164th Avenue collided with a motorcyclist who was trying to make a turn onto the westbound SR 14 on-ramp.
The impact sent both the motorcycle and the car off the roadway and they crashed into a support column under the overpass.
The rider of the motorcycle was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The other driver was treated for minor injuries.
According to investigators, DUI was not suspected to have played a role in the accident and no arrests were announced.
No additional information on the crash was immediately provided. The Vancouver Police Department is working to determine the cause of the accident.
