Two people were trapped in the second vehicle and needed to be extricated

Apple Valley, CA. – 33-year-old Lorena Lopez has been identified as the woman who died after being struck by a car in Apple Valley on Saturday night.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 8:21 p.m. in the area of Wichita Road and Zuni Road.
Firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District responded to the scene and found one vehicle overturned on its side with an occupant trapped inside.
A second vehicle with multiple vehicles was also involved in the accident.
Lopez, a driver of one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene.
