Pima County, AZ – A woman died a day after being involved in a multi-vehicle collision in Pima County earlier this month, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
The tragic incident took place near North Shadow Bluff Drive and East Orange Grove Road on June 17.
According to investigators, an SUV failed to stop for traffic ahead and crashed into the rear of a sedan near the intersection. The force of the collision pushed the sedan forward and it slammed into another SUV.
The PCSD reported that the driver of the first SUV, identified as Tina Brenner-Kupris, 56, was initially taken to a hospital for injuries described as non-life-threatening. She was treated and later discharged from the hospital.
However, she was transported to the hospital on June 18 and she later succumbed to her injuries.
According to the report, Brenner-Kupris had been cited for failure to control speed following the accident.
There was no update in the condition of other parties involved in the incident.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is conducting an investigation to ascertain the circumstances of the accident.
