La Quinta, CA – One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that happened Monday afternoon at an intersection in La Quinta, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection under unclear circumstances.
Sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene and found two heavily damaged cars blocking traffic lanes.
Both drivers were evaluated at the scene for injuries. One of them was taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance for treatment. The patient was listed in stable condition.
The other driver did not suffer any significant injuries.
Investigators are working to determine the factors that contributed to the accident.
