Investigations revealed that a pedestrian entered Brundage Lane and was hit by a man driving a pickup truck

Bakersfield, CA – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night in east Bakersfield, according to a report by the Bakersfield Police Department.
The accident was reported at around 9:15 p.m. June 21, in the 600 block of Brundage Lane.
Investigations revealed that a pedestrian entered Brundage Lane and was hit by a man driving a pickup truck. The victim was reportedly struck in an unmarked crosswalk.
When Bakersfield police arrived at the scene, they located an adult woman with major injuries.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The victim’s identity was not released pending notification of the next-of-kin.
The involved driver reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Speed and impairment were not suspected to have played any role in the collision, according to the police.
