Shasta Lake, CA – Man Dies after Boat Hits Shoreline at Shasta Lake

According to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 5 p.m. on June 18, 2026, at Town Creek Cove on the Sulanharas Creek Arm of Shasta Lake.

Shasta Lake, CA – 47-year-old Vingenzo Colletti died, and two others, including a juvenile, were hurt in a boating accident that happened Thursday afternoon on Shasta Lake.

According to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 5 p.m. on June 18, 2026, at Town Creek Cove on the Sulanharas Creek Arm of Shasta Lake.

Colletti, an adult woman, and a juvenile were boating when their vessel struck the shoreline and threw the occupants into the water.

Boaters on another vessel helped the victims out of the water and took them to Bridge Bay Marina.

Colletti and the child were taken to a local hospital.

Authorities said Colletti, a resident of Palo Cedro in Shasta County, was pronounced dead at the facility. He was operating the boat.

The juvenile was wearing a life jacket but the adults were not.

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Boating Safety Unit is investigating the accident.
