Bakersfield, CA. – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision in Frazier Park on Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:09 a.m. on Frazier Mountain Park Road, east of Mt. Pinos Way.

A 65-year-old man was riding a motorcycle westbound on Frazier Mountain Park Road when he was struck from behind by a Chevrolet SUV operated by a 27-year-old man.

The rider was ejected, hitting the SUV’s windshield.

The unidentified motorcyclist died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Investigators do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
