According to the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner, Martin Enciso Jr., 32, died following the crash that happened at about 10:29 p.m. on June 7, on the freeway near Osborne Street.

Arleta, CA – The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on the Golden (5) Freeway in Arleta on Sunday night has been identified.
According to the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner, Martin Enciso Jr., 32, died following the crash that happened at about 10:29 p.m. on June 7, on the freeway near Osborne Street.
Preliminary reports indicate that Enciso Jr may have been running on the southbound side of the freeway when he was struck by a vehicle. The victim was thrown into the northbound lanes by the force of the accident.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after and Enciso Jr was declared deceased at the site of the collision. The involved driver was at the scene when authorities arrived.
The accident caused the closure of all southbound and some northbound lanes of the freeway as authorities investigated the incident. At around 3 a.m. Monday, all lanes had been reopened.
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
