Kings County, CA – Two people were killed following a head-on collision involving a truck and a motorcycle near Hanford Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash occurred just before 5:00 p.m. on June 5, 2026, on Highway 43 near Lansing Avenue, south of Hanford.

Investigators said the driver of a truck was traveling southbound on Highway 43 when, for some reason, the truck crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with the motorcycle carrying two people.

The motorcycle rider, identified as 65-year-old Kenny Conley, was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger on the motorcycle, identified as 65-year-old Leslie Conley, was transported to a hospital, where she later died. Authorities said the truck driver sustained major injuries and was also taken to a hospital for treatment.

California Highway Patrol officers and emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after the crash was reported.

The cause of the Kings County crash remains under investigation. Authorities said it is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
