Los Angeles, CA – One person was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle collision involving a suspected DUI driver in downtown Los Angeles Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The fatal crash was reported at approximately 11:50 a.m. near the intersection of Alameda Street and Bay Street.

Authorities said two vehicles were involved in the collision. Investigators have not yet released details regarding how the crash occurred.

One person was killed in the Los Angeles crash. Officials did not immediately clarify whether the victim died at the scene or after being transported to a hospital. Another person was taken to a local hospital in an unknown condition. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

Police said impairment is suspected to have been a factor in the collision. Information regarding possible arrests was not immediately available.
