La Puente, CA – A man was killed following a two-vehicle collision on Maplegrove Street in La Puente late Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash was reported at approximately 11:34 p.m. on May 29, 2026, near 15832 Maplegrove Street near Alieron Avenue.
Authorities said the collision involved a black Jeep and a gray sedan. Officers arriving at the scene found one person unconscious inside one of the vehicles. Investigators have not yet released details regarding how the crash occurred.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and was later identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as 49-year-old Reginald Crim. Information regarding injuries to any other parties involved or possible arrests was not immediately available.
The cause of the La Puente crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers responded to the scene shortly after the collision was reported and remained in the area while investigators processed evidence and cleared the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
