Both drivers were rushed to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries
Ventura, CA. – Two people were injured in a car accident early Monday morning in Oxnard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Vineyard Avenue (SR-232), just east of Perello Ranch Road.
A Tesla sedan was traveling on Vineyard Avenue when it veered into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming Toyota SUV.
Both drivers were extricated from their vehicles and rushed to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries.
The Tesla driver was only identified as a 32-year-old Oxnard resident while the Toyota driver was a 33-year-old Camarillo resident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
